In this episode, Dr. Stephanie Bonne interviews Dr. Valerie Rusch Miner Family Chair in Intrathoracic Cancers at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and current President of the American College of Surgeons on her career in surgery. She shares how mentors shaped her career in clinical practice and research. They also discuss ACS initiatives to improve Global Surgical Care and Gender Equity in Surgery. She explains the importance of the generation of women surgeons before her and the work still needed to breakdown gender barriers.
